  I originally trained within the London Middle Market division of PwC. I qualified in November 2004 and was promoted to Audit Manager in July 2006. I left PwC in July 2007 to spend some time travelling. Between July 2007 and August 2008, I completed several contract roles in audit and in between these contracts I took the opportunity to visit Tanzania and the United States.

  Initially hired as a Group Accountant, I was promoted twice during my first two years to the positions of Reporting Manager and Senior Accounting and Reporting Manager, respectively. After a further eighteen months I was promoted again to Head of Group Accounting, where I reported directly to the Group Finance Director and managed a team of four reports.

  From April 2013 to February 2017 I was the manager of the financial reporting team at Expro International Group, a private equity backed company in the oilfield services sector.

  Seadrill

  Seadrill is a large international offshore drilling contractor. The Company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has an active registration with the SEC. I worked in the corporate head office and ran the teams responsible for external reporting, consolidations, technical accounting, tax accounting & reporting and internal controls (total of 10 direct / indirect reports). Prior to my Director position I was the head of Seadrill’s external reporting team (team of 5 qualified accountants). I was first hired to write an accounting policy manual for the Group. I published the first version of the manual in February 2018 and provided training to staff through a series of presentations and webcasts. I also implemented the new US GAAP revenue accounting standard and supported the SEC reporting for one of Seadrill’s affiliates (Seadrill Partners LLC).
