  As the Assistant Director (AD) I am responsible for Cox North ED which is a 20 bed ED that sees, on average, 40,000 – 41,000 patients per year and staffs approximately 50 employees at any given time. While we function as a fully operational ED we are unique in that our campus at Cox North houses the systems inpatient psychiatric floors. North ED also has the shortest door to room time of EDs over 40k in the state. Show less A Patient Care Manager (PCM) has multiple roles within the department including bedside care, departmental operations, processes improvement, and managerial responsibilities. Within this role I had 18 direct reports under me and was responsible for two campuses Cox South ED and Cox North ED. Cox South ED is a 62 bed level 1 trauma, level 1 stroke, and level 1 cardiac center that receives approximately 70,000 patients per year.
