The City of Toronto and one of the most fast-growing suburban centres of Toronto - namely the North York City Centre (NYCC) located near the northern edge of Toronto on the Yonge subway line - were selected as case studies.       Conducted a series of studies to evaluate traffic management policies to tackle the air pollution crisis, in this project as a case study for the City of Shiraz, several traffic management policies under some simplified assumptions were closely studied and compared by the aid of EMME/2 as a traffic assignment software package, and finally these policies were prioritized with respect to their success in achieving lesser air pollutants, costs, and their feasibility as well.
