      Flight Operations Officer

As part of my education to become a certified Flight Operations Officer (FOO), I underwent On-Job Training (OJT) at Sriwijaya Air, a process regulated under CASR (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations). During this phase, I applied the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world operations, under the supervision and guidance of experienced seniors and mentors at Sriwijaya Air’s Flight Operations Center in Surabaya.During my OJT, I was actively involved in:Preparing and creating flight plans.Conducting pre-flight briefings to on-duty crew members regarding flight plans.Calculating aircraft weight and balance.Coordinating and managing slot times.I was consistently included in decision-making processes related to operational activities, which enhanced my understanding of the dynamic environment of flight operations. This hands-on experience solidified my skills and prepared me to perform effectively in a professional operational setting. Show less

      Jan 2023 - Nov 2023

After completing my assignment as District Manager in Timika and briefly returning to my role as an OCC Officer, I was appointed by management to serve as District Manager in Makassar. This position presented a unique challenge, as the company had recently secured a contract to operate pioneer flights under the South Sulawesi Provincial Government. At the time, we did not have an established base in Makassar, so I was tasked with setting up and managing the new base from the ground up. This was my first experience opening a base, overseeing operations for five aircraft units. Despite the challenges and my own limitations, I maximized my abilities and efforts to ensure smooth operations.I successfully coordinated with various stakeholders, including the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, which awarded us the contract, the Airport Authority of Region V, which provided exceptional support, ground handling teams that delivered outstanding service, and internal company teams that offered invaluable guidance. This collaborative effort allowed me to maintain efficient operations and achieve organizational goals. Show less As an OCC Officer at Susi Air, I was responsible for managing and monitoring operations across all Susi Air bases throughout Indonesia. My role involved overseeing various types of flight charters, including VIP charters, regular charters, and medevac (medical evacuation) missions.Although I did not serve as an OCC Officer continuously for a year, my experience in this role was divided into several periods. I initially worked as an OCC Officer from December to early January, after which I was assigned by management to Timika as District Manager until early March. I then returned to the head office to resume my responsibilities as an OCC Officer until mid-May, before being appointed as District Manager in Makassar to open a new base.In my role, I played a critical part in ensuring the success of operational missions by coordinating with multiple stakeholders. These included ground handling teams, airport authorities, AirNav Indonesia, the Directorate of Air Transportation for flight approval processing, and our clients. Additionally, I collaborated closely with pilots, engineers, and internal management to ensure smooth and efficient operations. My responsibilities demanded excellent organizational skills, real-time decision-making, and the ability to collaborate effectively under time-sensitive conditions. Show less As the District Manager in Timika, I managed the operations of Pilatus Porter aircraft serving pioneer flights organized by the Ministry of Transportation. These flights were dedicated to transporting passengers and cargo to remote areas.Despite the challenges and dynamics of this role, I thoroughly enjoyed my responsibilities and excelled in coordinating with various stakeholders. I worked closely with the Government Procurement Officials (PPK), representing the Ministry of Transportation, to ensure the success of the program. Additionally, I facilitated audits conducted by airport authorities and collaborated with the Department of Trade and Cooperatives to supply essential goods to isolated communities. This position required adaptability, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication with diverse partners to fulfill operational and community support objectives.
