  At PlantStra, my role as a mechatronics engineer has been involved the following projects:- Construction of a multi-stage complex mechanism which enabled automation capabilities and decreased labour inefficiencies with the help of AI (CNNs), with the ultimate goal of improving crop yields in the seedling stage.- CAD and FEA of new steel structures used to transport crops around the farm and from business to consumer.- CAD of seedling trays which enabled more efficient deliveries with more plants being housed in the same region.   In partnership with Skyy Network, work was completed to enable automated drone deliveries using AI (CNNs). Prototyping integrated Python and Raspberry Pi/Nvidia Jetson hardware, alongside custom built drones, allowing for landings based on an ArUco marker detection system.
