  During the years listed above, during the summer, I worked as a Seasonal Employee for the Water Department (with the exception of 2005-Full time). Over the course of summers I progressed in responsibility each summer. While starting out I painted fire hydrants and kept them clean from tall grass. After the first year, I was given assignments that required more responsibilities by working side by side with full-time employees. I was also entrusted with overtime responsibility of conducting Sprinkler Patrols and assisted with weekend cleanings of the Downtown area. Show less

  Maintenance Worker II

  Our main focus in the Street Department was asphalt, concrete, signage and snow plowing. Over my time in Bloomingdale I was able to progress my responsibilities at the village. I served on the Safety Committee for 3.5 years. In addition, I was responsible as a Driver Trainer for our Snow & Ice Operations. One of my biggest tasks was the lead worker for the concrete crew, the Street Departments biggest summer program.
