  Following my successful secondment with the Bank I returned full time to design, implement and manage the Business Assurance Team. The purpose of the Business Assurance Team was to test, monitor and overview the relationship teams and credit teams to ensure that they managed the business assets by:• acting in terms of the approved policy and procedures;• pro-actively managing the business assets; • operating in accordance with the expectation of group credit and in a manner acceptable to internal/external auditors and the various regulatory bodies; and • demonstrating that that the management teams have sufficient competency, capability and capacity to manage the asset portfolio.The role also included business improvement initiatives. Initiatives are identified during the file reviews and include the development of more robust systems, standardised practices (including the design of financial analysis templates) to improve consistency across the UK and the identification and implementation of training requirements for Relationship Managers.I have also led a number of project teams relating to the wind down and sale of assets.
