      Sept 2014 - Oct 2016
      Sales Associate

During my time working in retail I learnt many skills that I have taken with when completing any job. I completed all steps of training, including knowledge of all products and their uses as well as how to work with customers to get the best outcome for both Superdrug and the client. One of the skills I learnt was how to promote and up sell a product through liaising with the customers creating a strong report with them. Customer service was one of the core practices and attributes of Superdrug which I found has taught me great communication skills in all different situations. I also had to open and close the store as well as cash up at the end of the day. Show less

    • The Taproom

      Oct 2016 - Oct 2019

Working at The Taproom from a young age taught me how to work in the hospitality sector. Implementing the customer care policy throughout my time at The Tap room. The job entailed a mixture of waitressing during busy afternoon and evening rushes as well as being able to manage the bar. By completing all jobs set during my shift it taught me time management skills as well as how to present myself when looking after customers. Here was where I was first introduced to the events industry on a small scale, helping to manage day and night time events as well as helping with decor, allowing my creativity to flourish. As I started here from a young age I grew into the role and from then on have always known I want my job to involve helping and pleasing others, which is a rewarding aspect for me. Bartender

During my time at university I was employed in the Liverpool city centre as a bartender. This entailed a large skill set when dealing with the general public. I have to meet the needs of individuals allowing me to improve my communication skills ensuring I satisfy the customer, the most pleasing aspect. The job entails long hours and being able to stand up for a long periods of time, of which I enjoy as I am an active person. The responsibility of handling money and having general math skills is something that is needed. As well as this problem solving is one of the many aspects of the job on a busy night, staff have to deal with issues and resolve them quickly, something I have learnt to do efficiently over time.
