  Initially CFO of PDL, a grocery importation, wholesale supply and supermarkets business with a turnover of around NZ$28m. TPDL was then puchased by CITC - I moved acrss as GM Food Division. In very short period I introduced a lot of discipline and structure in order to improve customer delivery, developed a sound budget with all my managers creating their own budgets, a first for most of them. Whilst there was still a great deal of work to do, considering the magnitude of the change with a $17m business becoming a $45m business overnight, our son’s partner (who lived in Christchurch) was diagnosed with lung cancer, so we decided to return to New Zealand to assist them through a very difficult time. However, I have broken outside of the confines of this role and I am actively contributing to step change in others areas of the organisation, most notably Human Resources.
