In very short period I introduced a lot of discipline and structure in order to improve customer delivery, developed a sound budget with all my managers creating their own budgets, a first for most of them. Whilst there was still a great deal of work to do, considering the magnitude of the change with a $17m business becoming a $45m business overnight, our son’s partner (who lived in Christchurch) was diagnosed with lung cancer, so we decided to return to New Zealand to assist them through a very difficult time.
