      As Recreational Gymnastics Coach, I played an integral role in the coordination and education of athletes and aspiring gymnasts from ages 3 to 15, as well as assisting the head coach in leading adult classes. I was not only required to build relationships with the athletes, but had to be attentive and connected with parents and management to ensure expectations were exceeded.I also had the opportunity to work with athletes with varying developmental disabilities, including those with autism and deafness. This required extreme attentiveness and professionalism to ensure participants' safety were top priority, as well as an accommodating coaching style that encouraged all skill levels. Show less

      Auesten Berlet Campout - Head Of Logistics

      The Austen Berlet Campout for Mental Health is a student-run organization who's goal is to raise awareness, end stigma, and acquire funds for mental health services on Western University's campus.As Head of Logistics for the Austen Berlet Campout, I was in charge of coordinating and delegating tasks to over 60 student volunteers on the day of the event. I had the responsibility of letting vendors know where to set up and was the first point of contact for any questions regarding the event. I exhibited excellent time management to ensure daily operations ran smoothly and deadlines were met.Prior to the day of the event, I was tasked with aiding in procuring charitable donations and business sponsorships. Moreover, I was part of the team that hired entertainment, acquired vendors, and created the event schedule. I worked with a strong team to raise approximately $30,000 for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in the two years I worked with the Austen Berlet Campout; this is used to fund an extra crisis counsellor on Western's campus during the final exam period.
