      Advisor to emerging markets government issuers globally, ran buyback and debt exchange offers to retire/replace inefficient Brady bonds or to improve debt risk profile by extending maturity or reducing external FX exposure. Some specific noteworthy deals included:o Mexico: Did first EM global bond with “Collective Action Clauses”o Peru: Advised on Paris Club debt buyback o Iraq: Executed $20bn restructuring of pre-war commercial debts Responsible for overall design of 8-week entry-level markets training programs. Designed and taught 5-day fixed income fundamentals and 1-day EM debt modules. Advised sovereign EM issuers on debt issuance and buyback strategy. Led EM debt strategy and analytics research team responsible for writing markets research reports and developing analytics for new markets and instruments. Led the development of EM bond indices (EMBI, EMBI+, EMBI Global, ELMI)Advised institutional investors on EM debt portfolio strategy. Served internal and corporate finance clients, most involving financial modeling. Developed J.P. Morgan’s Brady bond analytics (which became the industry standard).
