I teach and research within the Health Promotion track in the Department of Health Sciences. I teach HLTH 439 "Program Planning". This course is an undergraduate capstone course in the that department and focuses on developing and implementing health promotion programs. I also have a research agenda under the umbrella of obesity prevention. Currently, I focus on school breakfast programs. I am currently studying the parent perceptions of the nutritional quality of school breakfast. I mentor several students in research and aim to incorporate both undergraduate and graduate students into my research agenda. I work with partners from the Utah State Office of Education, Food$ense, and Utahns Against Hunger. I also collaborate with researcher from the University of Iowa and the Nebraska State Department of Education. Show less
