      My work focuses on 3 main areas, which are research, curriculum development and outreach.On research, I produce publications on international trade and investment issues, and provide advice to government of Indonesia.On curriculum development, I teach at Faculty of Law, Bachelor and Master Program on international law, international trade law and international organizational law subjects. On outreach, I assist the Director of the Center to give training to government officials for international trade law issues. I also regularly organize seminars, public lectures and events as part of our outreach program for the Center.Major projects and involvements:- Co-authored a paper about Indonesia’s Mandatory Halal Labelling and its consistency with WTO Law, which was presented in Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) 5th biennial conference in Johannesburg (July 2016).This article has been published in the World Trade Review Journal. The journal was established at the initiative of the World Trade Organization Secretariat in close cooperation with Cambridge University Press. https://doi.org/10.1017/S1474745617000167- Speaker at Brown Bag Seminar on Disabling Labelling: Exploring the WTO Compliance of the Mandatory Halal Labelling Law in Indonesia (February 2016).- Provided consultation to the international organization and Indonesian government.- Organized 12 outreach activities within 12 months.- Awarded a competitive scholarship by the Asian Society of International Law (AsianSIL) to present my paper entitled "Trump's Unilateral Action: The End of an Era?" at the 'Junior Scholars Workshop' of 6th AsianSIL Biennial Conference in Seoul, South Korea. Show less As a scholarship recipient, I was directly hired by the university upon my graduation. I sat as the Teaching Assistant to the Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. I assisted the Dean in courses such as Indonesia’s Foreign Policy, Theories of International Relations, International Political Economy, Practical Dimension of International Relations and Introduction to Politics.I also had an opportunity to hone my business and administration skills as I was involved with several major projects under the supervision of the Executive Director for Business Development. My involvement in the business development initiatives are as follow:- Establishment of UPH – SIM GE Business School in Surabaya, boosted up 15% of total students’ intake in UPH Surabaya.- Managed the creation of an IT-based Management Information System which increase efficiency in allocation of fund in calculating salary for part-time lecturer- Organizing numerous seminars, conferences and events with prominent speakers such as Joko Widodo (when he was Governor of Jakarta), Ambassador of the United States of America and top business executives such as Vice President of Goldman Sachs.       My main responsibilities include:1. Trade NegotiationsI was involved in some of the trade negotiations, including the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) Agreement. For the RCEP negotiations, I serviced the Trade Negotiating Committee (TNC), which is the policy-making body overseeing the overall negotiations. The TNC is also responsible to report to the Economic Ministers of the RCEP Participating Countries. I had the privilege to be part of the team that support the 15 countries in concluding and signing the largest regional trade agreement in November 2020.For the AANZFTA, I serviced the FTA Joint Committee and the Working Group on Government Procurement. The role of the ASEAN Secretariat in the negotiations are to prepare the documents for the meeting, taking note and assisting the Chair to develop the report, providing technical support, as well as giving technical advice to resolve some of the issues during the negotiations. 2. ASEAN Economic Ministers and ASEAN Senior Economic Officials MeetingBeyond external economic relations, I also had the opportunity to be the main coordinator for matters pertaining to the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) and the Senior Economic Officials Meeting (SEOM) since mid-2019. Coordinating the AEM and SEOM process have allowed me to obtain additional perspective from ASEAN Member States and to see the overall process of the ASEAN Economic Community. Show less

      Trade Monitoring Section of the Trade Policy Review Division is responsible for preparing the Director-General's. These reports set out major activities of the WTO and highligh significant policy issues affecting the trading system. These series of reports were started in the wake of the global financial and economic crisis that began in 2008. My main responsibility is to monitor general economic support measures implemented by Members and Observers of the WTO, in the context of COVID-19 and more broadly. Additionally, I also monitor bilateral and multilateral support/assistance provided by countries and international organization or development banks. I am also responsible for drafting relevant sections of the Trade Monitoring Reports, preparing regular updates, briefing notes, as well as speeches for the Director-General. Show less

      The Division's main responsibilities are: 1) service ASEAN Member States in the negotiation and implementation of ASEAN's Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with external partners; and 2) support ASEAN in its economic cooperation with non-ASEAN countries.I am specifically responsible for supporting ASEAN Member States in: 1) the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement; 2) the coordination of matters under the purview of the ASEAN Economic Ministers and the ASEAN Senior Economic Officials Meeting; and 3) various committees under ASEAN's FTAs.Performing this role has allowed me to establish strong working relationship not only with relevant stakeholders in all ASEAN Member States, but also with stakeholders in ASEAN's external partners such as Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Korea, Canada, and many other countries. This role also requires me to effectively coordinate with different level of officials within the ASEAN Secretariat, as well as with stakeholders outside the organisation. Show less As Senior Project Officer for "Strengthening ASEAN Secretariat Capacity in Ensuring Effective Implementation of the AEC Blueprint 2025", I provided support to the ASEAN Economic Community Department of the ASEAN Secretariat. I assisted the Advisor to the Secretary-General and the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Economic Community in developing concept notes, information papers, as well as other documents for the meetings. I also assisted the ASEAN Secretariat in advocacy activities, in the form of webinars on RCEP as well as producing videos to explain about RCEP to the private sector and the general public.I was also involved in technical-level work, where I had the opportunity to service the negotiation of the Chapter on "Trade and Sustainable Development" under the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand FTA.
