  I participated in the Erasmus+ project "It's time to help!" and together with students from the Czech Republic, Malta, Germany, Finland, Portugal and Latvia explored pollution-related issues and possible solutions for world's problems. I improved my English skills and learned to work as a team.

  I was one of the journalists for the local youth newspaper gaining experience in article writing and interviewing. It was new and interesting experience shaping my writing and communication skills.

  Baltic-American Freedom Foundation

  Student

  CIEE High School summer abroad global entrepreneurship program giving an opportunity to 30 students from the Baltic States to gain leadership skills and practice in startup concept development. I was chosen from more than 1000 students and during the program improved communication, English, presenting and teamwork skills as well as learned about Lean Startup methodology.

  Erasmus+ "Water unites us" participant

  Together with 2 students from the school, I went to Greece to participate in activities exploring water flora and fauna and usage of the water. The aim was to explore the various biotic and abiotic environmental parameters of certain aquatic ecosystems as well as the local history and culture.

  Euroscola

  I participated in the Euroscola event in the European Parliament's Louise Weiss Building. Such an event gave me an opportunity to interact with European institutions, to express views on certain topics at the EU level. I was participating in discussions and expressing my vision in front of 600 students from 28 Member States of the European Union.

  Latvian Open Data Hackathon for schools

  Together with the team, I participated in Latvian Open Data Hackathon 2019 and got to the finals developing the solution that would help Latvian citizens to choose the best place for their new home based on provided Open data. During solution development, I learned about Geocoding and API usage as well as presented the solution to the jury.

  Team member

  I participated in DEMOLA Latvia project by taking a part in the innovation project and developing a new product case. Together with a team, we worked with the "TET" subsidiary SIA "T2T" and developed the concept of the new service, which was bought by the company. I learned how to find the real issue in the given problem, how to organize the work in the team, how to prepare for and lead interviews as well as improved my presentation skills.
