  I retired from State Bank of India in May 2019 after serving the organization for more than 3 decades.As Chief General Manager, Credit Policy and Procedures Department at Bank's Corporate Centre, Mumbai I was responsible for developing and refining credit procedures and processes for healthy credit growth. Formulating Bank's Loan Policy, Industry-specific credit policies and related procedures were my key responsibility areas.As Chief General Manager (SME & Supply Chain Finance), I was responsible for achieving business goals, identifying new business opportunities, developing new products, building key credit skills in the team handling the business, and maintaining Bank's premier position in SME Business.I was Chairman of the Wholesale Banking Credit Committee (WBCC-II), responsible for high-value credit sanctions. Show less Credit Audit involves the conduct of Credit Audit as an integral part of risk-based internal audit function aimed at the identification of credit risks and suggesting remedial measures for controlling and mitigation of credit risks underlying high-value credit exposures. Review of Sanction Process, Compliance, Adequacy of documentation, security, independent verification of Credit Risk Assessment, identifying early warning signals, suspected frauds were my key responsibility areas.Devised and put in place a system of Early Review of Sanctions.
