  Optimised a convolutional network on AWS Sagemaker to perform a binary image segmentation task to improve infrastructure security & combat climate change.Worked with a dataset of over 3,000 satellite images.Improved the multi-class model to a loss of 0.2269 and an accuracy of 0.8610 with 10 epochs.

  Week 1: A week of nights with the resident team.- Exposure to various cases including: exploratory laparotomy (e.g. following motor vehicle trauma), trans-catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) & hand debridement following fireworks accident - Applied an A-E approach on the monitoring of patient vital signs throughout an operation.- Received teaching on anaesthetic agents and their clinical use, including: local, inhaled and intravenous anaesthetics- Followed patient care journeys from pre-op assessment, in-operative management and post-operative transfer to ICU.- Exposure to procedures including arterial lines, intravenous infusions, intubation and central lines. - Teaching on thromboelastography, its interpretation and influence on the delivery of anaesthesia.Week 2: Rotating through different anaesthesiology sub-specialties - Paediatric cardiac: Observed an aortic valve repair where a bicuspid valve was repaired to have three cusps. Received teaching on the interpretation of a transesophageal echocardiogram, and honed an understanding of the haemodynamics of flow across a valve or tube with changing radius- Neuro-anaesthesia: Attended operations on spines of patients on a prone frame. Practiced intubation on a model using a fibre-optic scope with a dual screen.- Regional anaesthesia & acute pain: Application of both brachial plexus and lower limb anatomy knowledge to ultrasound views - Obstetric anaesthesia Show less
