      In support of the Senior Presidential Translator, supervises, operates, and safeguards the secrecy of the President’s crisis “Hotline” communications system within the National Military Command Center. Responsible for translation and processing of governmental messages for the President, as received from the Russian Federation over the Washington-Moscow Direct Communications Link (DCL). Manages the DCL facility to ensure private, reliable communications between the White House and Kremlin. Supervises technical coordination with the White House Communications Agency, Joint Staff, and Defense Information Systems Agency. Provides inter-agency support for international negotiations and delegations. Supports worldwide response and readiness exercises.
