    • American University

      Jul 2021 - Aug 2022
      Guest Lecturer

Presented information to young adults interested in healthcare fields. The students were selected to participate in the university’s National Student Leadership Conference. The topic was executive medical skills for leaders of hospital organizations. It was a two way exchange in that the brilliance and engagement was inspiring! And it continued my promise to my many mentors to pay what the handed off to me forward! A cool aspect was the family connection. I recognized the dorms from having dropped our son off in 2009 for the Law and Trial Advocacy aspect of the very same program. Our son works IT for a law firm. Even had one of the students introduce himself and ask if I knew his father? I replied with an excited yes for the leader his dad (a CAPT, Navy Medicine who is highly respected); and got to catch up with a colleague/shipmate as we saw in the Navy). Best wishes to all the future leaders that participated in the 2021 offering of this great program! Show less
