  • Designed and fabricated a novel unified prosthetic knee and ankle design inspired by the vastly successful practice of standardization in the industry as a promising way to obtain affordable and reliable robotic prostheses practical for everyday use.• Designed, developed, and successfully tested a lightweight portable powered ankle-foot orthosis (exoskeleton) to supplement the push-off power in the ankle to obtain a more natural gait, and improve the user's (especially older adult) muscle performance through a novel assistive-resistive training strategy.• Developed and successfully tested a novel exoskeleton-based portable gait data collection system, which provides the capability of conducting independent measurement of lower limb movement without the need for stationary instrumentation.• Managed a team of 3 to design and develop a Quadrupedal Human-Assistive Robotic Platform intended to serve as a future mobile walker for individuals with mobility problems.• Collaborated with three members to develop a novel rail-sliding robot namely RailBot, which can provide powered assistance (a gentle pulling force) and protection (through a safety belt) to help older adults climb stairs in an easier and safer way.• Developed and successfully tested a Machine Learning based Real-Time locomotion mode detection method.• Working on advanced sensing, motion control, image-based environment recognition, and intent recognition of robotic lower-limb prostheses and exoskeletons.• Working on Image-based Environment Recognition System for Controlling Robotic Lower-Limb Prostheses.
