      Jeff remains technically active, practicing at an expert level as a principal-level dam engineer, having performed professional engineering in this highly specialized area for nearly continuous 35 years. He has served as lead engineer for hundreds of dams throughout the northeast, including earthen, concrete, roller compacted concrete, timber, rockfilled structures. His work has included planning, design and construction phase services.Jeff and his team were recently selected by the federal government to provide planning, design and construction engineering services for federally-owned dams and other infrastructure around the northeast United States. Jeff serves as the senior engineer and contract administrator for this multi-year, multi-million dollar contract.Jeff is the firm's Senior Principal in hydroelectric engineering. He is an FERC-approved Part 12d Independant Consultant (IC) and has led the inspection and technical reports for multiple hydroelectric facilities, including dams, headworks, penstocks, power houses and appurtenant structures.Jeff has served as the Principal Engineer and Construction Engineer for four (4) first-of-its-kind dam projects in New Hampshire over the past several years. These projects demonstrate innovative ways to safely and cost effectively solve real problems for dams in the region. Jeff works very closely with state dam regulatory officials in the research and application of these innovative projects, which include:* New Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) principal spillway for a High Hazard dam in Rindge, NH (2010),* New Articulated Concrete Block (ACB) for embankment overtopping protection for a High hazard earthen dam in Keene, NH (2015),* New open cell, concrete-filled hdpe Geo-Cell for embankment overtopping protection for a High hazard earthen dam in New London, NH (2017),* New application of High Performance Turf Reinforced Mats for a high hazard dam earthen auxiliary spillway in Keene, NH (2018), Show less DuBois & King, Inc.
