  Research Staff

  As Research staff in my current facility, I provide laboratory support primarily to the Zika virus in pregnancy study, Nigeria, an NIH grant domiciled in the Jos University Teaching Hospital. In the lab, I perform the role of a Molecular Biologist. I have acquired molecular skills and technical expertise in the use of qPCR machines and other cutting edge technologies in Molecular biology. I also support other projects, researchers and postgraduate students in the lab.

  Visiting Pre Doctoral Fellow

  I am currently participating in the West African Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases (WAC-EID, NIAID) TRAIN program at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), under the guidance of Professor Slobodan Paessler. My focus is on researching arenaviruses within BSL2/ABSL2, BLS3 laboratories. Back in Nigeria I have worked with Class 4 pathogens like Lassa fever virus and SARS-CoV-2.
