      River Guide

The Weber river holds class III white water. The river does present some unique challenges that still make for an exciting experience. Rowing 2 to 4, 2-hour trips a day with boats carrying up to 8 people, guides need to be well versed in whitewater rescue, whitewater navigation, swift water rescue, family entertainment, and local history.

I handle all of our education course logistics. That includes scheduling dates, locations and times, marketing classes, selecting instructors and making sure all of the participants who sign up are squared away before they show up. I help to coordinate all of our avalanche educations talks throughout Utah, including our Know Before You Go avalanche awareness program, fireside chats and forecasters presentations. Being a non-profit our job descriptions tend to have loose boundaries, so whatever needs to be done, I do it. Show less
