      Successfully managed two Clinical Researchers, one Project Manager, two Program Directors and an Administrative Assistant in the Heart and Stroke Initiatives areas of the American Heart Association in such areas as business planning, market research and analysis, program implementation, county public safety policy changes, training and development, and business development.•Secured the first million dollar grant (2004) for the American Heart Association, a $3M grant from the Annenberg Foundation.•Provided training and development for more than 1,500 Los Angeles County and City firefighter-paramedics, utilizing the operation of 400 ECG machines, and co-authored 4 peer-reviewed research journals. •The Wallis Annenberg Heart Program became the Mission: Lifeline national initiative implemented in all fire departments across the country. Show less Spearheaded the day-to-day operations of 300 hospitals and for-profit training centers for the Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) division for the American Heart Association. Provided strategic planning, implementation, and support of a public access program to place AED’s (Automated External Defibrillators) in government agencies and municipalities.Key Accomplishments:•Successfully reduced the number of training centers in California from 300 to 100 in 10-months through a keen focus on operational excellence, business and operational improvements, communications and cross-functional training. •Partnered in the development and drafting of legislation allowing bystanders to operate an Automated External Defibrillators (AED) while being protected from liability under the Good Samaritan Law.       As Senior Manager, I directed a team in the day to day operations for the organization including managing a $2.9M corporate sponsorship and grants portfolio, oversight of the educational and programmatic activities of the Western States Affiliate American Heart Association, project/program management, communication with corporate and industry partners, as well as sales and marketing strategies, HR processes, and sponsor acquisition efforts.Some of my accomplishments are listed below:•Created and launched a three-year initiative to increase sales of the CPR Anytime products including marketing and sales strategies, operational, and financial plans which resulted in an increase of more than 400% in product sales. •Developed, implemented, and facilitated business process improvements that increased efficiencies, streamlined processes and ultimately achieved top sales awards in six consecutive years.•Led all aspects of the operations and financial management for Western States Affiliate. Successfully managed a multi-million-dollar operation leading it from the least profitable region in the organization to the most profitable region in less than one year.•Supported the Human Resource efforts for the region including recruitment, retention, training and development, coaching and counseling, employee engagement and morale, employee benefits, absence management, termination, etc. resulting in an increase in employee satisfaction and employee retention during tenure.•Initiated new account management policies, procedures, and provided tools to assist in the short and long-term strategic planning for the implementation of the CPR Anytime Educational Program and financial growth.
