  As an Entry-level Civil Engineer, I performed duties such as Quality Control, Construction Management, Construction Estimation, etc. Below are the construction projects that I participated in:1. Land Development and Utility Installation and National Highway Constructions: Carried out construction management duties in Paju New City LDUI Project, Wonju City Bypass Construction Project, etc. For ground stabilization, I used methods such as CIP (Cast in Placed Pile) Method, TOP-Base Method, Impermeable Wall Method, Paper Drain Method, etc.: Performed duties including schedule management, Construction Cost Management, etc.2. Construction of Seohaean Highway : As a Quality Control/Construction engineer, I performed QC duties for the construction of Steel Box Girder bridge construction. Considering Soft Soil Ground, I stabilized the ground by using Well Foundation and driving steel pipe pile. In order to prevent corrosion of the pile, Catholic Protection Method was performed.3. Expansion work of Yeongdong Highway: As a Quality Controller of the FCM (Free Cantilever Method) which is one of the Bridge Construction Methods, I installed a 950m-long superstructure “Hoengseong Bridge” with ‘VSL Korea’. I also directed the overall construction of a 98m-long lower bridge pier of Hoengseong Bridge using Slip Form Method which was the best pier at the time. Show less

  As a Project Manager (PM) of international donation project in Zimbabwe Africa, Performed overall management. Detail work scope :1) Project management Solar Water Heating Systems at the 2 places (HIT, UBH)2) Estimating and management of system installation cost.3) Selection of material supplier and installation technicians in Korea and Zimbabwe.4) Construction inspection and commissioning of system.5) Educating Zimbabwe local technician for maintenance.6) Feasible study for installation of Zambia & Botswana PV installation project. For 2 years of installation period, it was very challenging for supplying acceptable materials and well trained technician, but I finished the project successfully and still recorded one of successful project of KOICA, and when I visit Zimbabwe 3month ago (Sep. 2018) the system still 100% functional with no facility defections Show less I worked at Hyundai Asan Co., Ltd. for 10 years. The main business Hyundai Asan Co., Ltd. deals with is economic cooperation with North Korea. From 2004 to 2009, I was directly sent to Gaeseong Industrial Complex for completing below project. 1. Construction of Special Bridges in Gaeseong Industrial Complex(GIC) (Jan. 7, 2008 – June 27, 2009 / Civil and Quality Engineer) : In this project the assigned duty was to installing approximately 75m of steel structure bridge which was produced in South Korea. On the construction site, I examined the quality of steel structure. About the specific duties, bolts’ clamping pressure examination, painting inspection, steel plate dimension, internal and external cracking examination. As a result, I could successfully complete the construction project safely with high quality. 2. Construction of Water Infiltration Plant and Sewage Cleaning Plant in GIC(Feb. 1, 2006 – July 28, 2007 / Civil and Quality Engineer) : As a Civil Technical Manager and Quality Controller, I was responsible for the duties related to the water infiltration process, including foundation of building, septic tank and a filtration tank. At the waste water-disposal plant, I successfully installed the building foundation by applying Sheet Pile and pumping drainage in order to control Boiling Effect on Sand Soil.3. GIC Site Construction and Waste Reclamation Facility(Dec. 27, 2005 – Nov. 9, 2009 / Civil and Quality Engineer) : As a Civil Construction Technical Manager, I performed Leveling Civil Construction on approximately 400 ha of land which is classified as the 1st staged land in GIC. This project involved the cutting-the-ground construction by using Blasting Method mainly. For the banking-up construction, we stabilized the several parts of soft grounds by using Rock Embankment Method, Soil Cement Method, etc. Lastly, I performed quality control duties for the construction of asphalt pavement.
