  At my recent internship at IRL Crossing, I played a pivotal role in developing a state-of-the-art autonomous ship collision avoidance simulator.Core Development: Leveraging Python, I initiated the project using Pygame for visualizing ship movements and further integrated a multi-dimensional collision system using Matplotlib.Object-Oriented Design: I pioneered a sophisticated object structure, leading with classes such as SimulationRunner for initializing essential parameters and objects, Simulation for the primary loop and interaction, and SeaObject as the parent class that represented various marine entities like boats, ships, and islands.Autonomous Decision Making: In the simulation, each sea object autonomously determines collision avoidance based on object privilege, ensuring individualized decision-making without external interference.Advanced Data Handling: SQL was instrumental in extracting essential AIS data, and Python's advanced features, like polymorphism, represented different sea entities effectively.Interactive Display: A dedicated RuleApplicationWindow was established to elucidate the maritime collision rules, enhancing user understanding.Extensibility: The simulator is adaptable to various sea conditions and object interactions, making it a potent tool for marine navigation and collision research.This experience solidified my proficiency in Python, SQL, and visual representation tools, while providing hands-on practice with object-oriented design and real-world problem-solving.
