  As elected President of the Sheffield University Chemical Engineering society I organised and coordinated many different social activities for the students. This involved liaising with local and national companies, and the students’ union to secure funds, book venues and make sure the events were conducted safely. During my presidency membership and engagement increased, for this I was given an award for outstanding contribution to the life of the department. The position required me to be responsible for:Organizing and managing a team of people to run department wide events. Also liaise with members of the Institute of Chemical Engineers to promote links between students and industry.Management of a lively University Society.Liaised with local and international businesses to arrange sponsorship and benefits for societymembers.Committee member working with University Staff to arrange major events and support recruitment of new students.Point of contact representing students through all course years. Unipart is a lean manufacturing specialist recognized for the “Unipart Way”, (best in class lean methodology).Within my role I was:Trusted with planning and executing an important change management review, and process improvement. The project achieved a culture change to become more responsive and responsible to the customers’ needs as well as the company as a whole.Worked independently and met with key people from all levels of the company to discuss their roles in the process.Programmed macros for CATIA (a CAD design program), and created two advanced Excel Spreadsheets fully integrated with current systems. This team was responsible for the management of stock movements around the UK supply chain network, to achieve reliable and consistent premium service to major retailers including; ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's and others.- Trusted with the movement of stock into outside storage to prepare the network for a new product release. This involved liaising with different teams of people to arrange the logistical and supply chain requirements for this out of process stock movement.- Trusted with balancing the stock network to reduce the potential for waste.- Worked both independently, and within a team to achieve a well-balanced supply chain network.- Gathered and analysed important data to diagnose stock usage issues.- Used my computer skills to improve process by programming macros for Excel Spreadsheets, saving upwards of 216 man hours per year, and reducing the margin for manual error. Responsible for analytics involving 4 of PepsiCo's flagship iconic food and beverage billion-dollar brands; Walkers Crisps, Doritos, Quaker Oats and Tropicana Juices.- Developed and put into practice a 'stock model' which enables prediction and transparency of stock levels with the PepsiCo UK network. This enables future management, planning and optimisation of inventory. These include; procurement, warehousing & logistics, production planning, inventory levels and audit compliance.• Recognised for delivering strong working capital control through supplier collaboration and improved inventory velocity• Designed and Implemented PowerBI dashboards to measure key operational functions at Hexcel Duxford.
