  Retail Clerk and Photo Prep Technician

  Worked the register taking orders and making sales. Prepared chemicals for both the machine that developed negatives from 35mm/110 film and the printing machine that converted the negatives to beautiful photos. Learned to bar code orders for tracking and packaging filing photos for future sale and pickup by customers. Learned to close all registers at the end of day and make nightly deposit and closed the store.

  Electronics Technician

  Worked as an electronics technician assembling and testing CMOS encoders for ARES series rockets. This was part time position as I was full time student at OSU at this time.

  I manage business development and provide oversight for Company UAS, Missile and Test Systems programs and requests for proposal. Manages internal/external customer relationships, develops long range strategic plans for marketing FES capabilities/products, and collaborates in DOD electronic assemblies and unmanned systems technology development to meet assigned performance goals and objectives. Proactively contributes to the development and realization of short and long range FES Corporate strategy, plans, priorities, processes, goals and objectives. Reports directly to COO and responsible for tasks assigned and business leads discussions and weekly reviews. I present reports to senior management during weekly team meetings, and monthly reviews, and when requested. Produces monthly business projections based on review of future business opportunities for all FES opportunities, but specifically in UAS, Test Systems, and Missile sub-assemby product areas. Mr. Smith is an experienced electrical engineer with design development, analysis, verification, and sell-off experience. He has performed as a program manager with oversight responsibilities on over 250 contracts directly managed (over $40 million in business) during the past 15+ years. Mr. Smith has served as business area manager of Test and Simulation Systems, a business division of Frontier Electronic Systems since 2000. His responsibilities include being a member of the senior management team, reporting directly to the COO, directly influencing and providing resources to meet and exceed revenue, profit, overhead targets, direct labor and indirect cost forecasts, reporting progress to target budgets and scheduled deliveries, and assisting in marketing efforts for the company and the business area. We meet twice per year in November and April of each academic year.
