      Thesis title: "Modeling human cardiac genetic diseases in the zebrafish: Focus on cardiomyopathies and cohesinopathies"- Selected laboratory skills: ● Laboratory animal handling ● Imaging (brightfield, fluorescent, confocal) ● Genome editing (CRISPR/Cas9) ● Transcriptomics (Bulk RNA sequencing and Visium spatial transcriptomics) ● Histological stainings (immunostaining, in situ hybridization, and other histological stainings) ● Image analysis programs (ImageJ, Fiji, Imaris)- Mentored 2 master students for a literature review (4 months) and practical internship (1 year).- Assisted in practical zebrafish development courses at the bachelor level and providing tours offish facility to new incoming program graduate students.- Discussed about science and the use of zebrafish in research to the general public (Weekend of Science- Weekend van de Wetenschap).- Presentation of projects at conferences: Oral presentations: International Zebrafish Conference (Canada, 2021), European Zebrafish meeting, Prague (Czech Republic, 2020), Zebrafish for Personalized and Precision Medicine Conference (Canada, 2019).
