      Roots Colorado, Inc dba DIRT (Divergent Inclusive Representation Transforms) is on a mission to cultivate intentional workspaces for the neurodivergent population to gain meaningful, integrated, and equitable employment. DIRT has grown from an idea to a multi-faceted organization working to decrease the under- and unemployment rate of neurodivergent individuals through workforce development programming while advocating and working towards structural changes in workforce hiring practices. My role has to lead me to: - Institute alongside the Board of Directors a 3-5 year strategic plan for the organization, develop a Theory of Change defining and measuring program impact and achieve a fundraising goal that exceeded 115% increase in my first year as E.D.- Met competitive sales and budgetary goals by forecasting, developing, implementing, and budgeting for food and beverage costs, labor costs, supplies, and equipment to enhance the coffee shop's growth and profitability by 33% in the year 2022.-Sourced a second location, oversaw the construction process and purchasing of equipment for a coffee shop in East Denver to broaden our geographic reach while becoming more accessible to the neurodivergent and disabled communities of the northern Denver and Adams County areas.- Designed two human-centered programs, the Inclusive Workforce Employer Program (IWEP) and Inclusive Employment Workshops (IEP), that are trauma-informed, strengths-based, and evidence-based. (IEP) I oversee the creation and implementation six workshops with hands-on and high-quality curricula, facilitated guides, and interactive options to accommodate various learning styles. These workshops help neurodivergent young adults bridge the transition from the classroom to the workplace. (IWEP) I oversee the material development and facilitation to address disability hiring practices, procedures, and language in the workforce to motivate employers to hire, retain, and support neurodivergent folks.
