      Responsible for maintaining the gardens at the Columbus Commons which consists of 12 garden plots totaling 24,000 square feet of planted space. This involved the organization and overseeing of volunteers and staff, planting and removal of seasonal color, the care (watering, fertilizing, and pruning) of all plants, care and maintenance of all tools, keeping records in accordance with Franklin Park's maintenance contract, and interaction with the public. Many of the garden plots at the Columbus Commons are planted over an underground parking garage and therefore act as intensive roof-top gardens. Other duties included design support for the Lead Designer as well as horticultural support for Franklin Park Conservatory's on-site horticulture staff. Working with the Horticulture Technician within the CGC, I also help to maintian ornamental beds to a world-class standard.
