  As a Volunteer Technical Official. I have gained a large amount of different experiences. These include working in high pressure situations, the importance of accuracy when working, and how to manage people especially with conflicts of interest.While volunteering at Athletics competition from Grass roots level to national meetings, I have been presented with a variety of different situations that have needed a resolution. With some of these situations they haven't occurred before so staying calm and communicating effectively with your solution is vital. Show less

  This role focused on the guests that were staying at the residential site. During my time at The Pioneer Centre I mainly worked as part of a team to help feed up to 320 guests in one serving. With high numbers of guests it was key to make sure that as a team we managed to be efficient. Communication and empathy was also a major part of this job when assisting guests.Problem solving was also a part of this job which has helped me gain confidence in using iniative. In the last 6 months of working here I also started working with the cleaning team to ensure that all the guest lodges were cleaned and maintained to the standards set out by the centre. Show less

  Placement Week during 2019

  Placement week at Midland Counties Athletics Association office in Birmingham. This was a 40-hour requirement for my Extended Diploma in Business. During this placement I learnt how to operate the systems, work efficiently when inputting data, Create and invoice over 30 athletics clubs. I also helped with organising an open athletics event. This was not just the logistics of the event but also helped with the marketing. This placement had a 90-minute commute each way.

  This role has helped me gain many new experiences. Due to the nature of this role I have had to undertake a wide variety of training to ensure me to carry out this role to the best of my ability. Team Teach training being one of these.Within this role I work with a wide variety of abilities taking them on trips and activities enabling their family to have some time for themselves. This role requires a high amount of problem solving to help get the best opportunities for the young person being supported. Show less

  This role involved working as part of the Residential Life team and organising merchandise sold by the University Of Worcester.Working as part of the Residential Life team covered a variety of roles. During the year I helped to look after the running of the residential Life team social media, which grew in following across the year. I organised and supported events hosted for students living in University Accommodation. I worked on promotions with the University for halls of residence including working on photoshoots with an external company. I also worked with the accommodation team to improve the experience of prospective students looking at accommodation during open days.I introduced new merchandise for The University of Worcester. This role also involved planning the logistics of a pop-up shop for the University Graduation on two occasions. During graduation making sure everything was working smoothly while also dealing with any problems. On a weekly basis, I managed the stock for the University of Worcester Merchandise shop. As part of this role I have been able to start looking into project management of potential events for University Students living within halls. I have also carried out a large amount of communication between different teams across the University, this has helped to ensure successful outcomes of projects ranging from assisting at photo shoots of university halls of residence to redesigning and running the Residential Life social media pages.
