ABOUT USVictoria Aerial Photos and Surveys is a 100% locally (Victoria, BC) owned and operated, private, and independent company employing RPAS/Drone commercially. In operation since 2012, we offer a wide range of safe and professional RPAS/Drone services to the general public, corporations and government services in a wide spectrum of applications. We work closely with BCLS crews and engineers on land survey and mapping projects requiring, data acquisition, photogrammetry, LiDAR, survey grade point clouds and more.We use only the latest and safest, state of the art, RPAS multi-rotor equipment for our customers and have over 3500 hours of complex drone flight time. We currently fly the M300 RTK with the ZP1 survey camera as well as the new L2 LiDAR as a minimum standard for accuracy and quality end deliverables. Our RPAS platform can host a variety of hot swappable payload sensors and arrays. These may include RADAR, multi-spectral, and magnetometers for geological research and archeology. The long range and endurance RPAS allows us to scan several square KMs on a single mission. In addition, we provide high resolution RGB and thermal imagery for reliable infrastructure inspections, coatings and condition reports. We seek to harness this new “drone” technology in a safe and responsible manner while it benefits individuals, the public and our corporate/government customers. We are looking for clients at this time. Contract agreements are a recommended starting point and has proven to be the most efficient. Projects and land surveys benefitting from drone scans are typically limited. Show less Management of RPAS and aircraft operations including safety risk and ground control station assessments. Carlos also acts as a drone instructor and has trained and consulted with many organizations in advanced drone certification standards. Carlos has done contract work with BC Land Surveyors in field operations for over 8 years and completed duties such as back sighting, establishing control points in difficult terrain, managing ground/base stations, establishing RTK connections, quality control, LiDAR data acquisition and more. He has also managed flight scans and sensor hardware on many large scale projects around BC. Show less
