I prepare and organize experiments, aid in animal care, perform neurobiological assays, and train new lab members.       I taught kids and adolescents from diverse backgrounds water safety and how to swim by thoroughly preparing lesson plans, managing classes and student safety, and problem-solving any issues that arose. I helped build students’ confidence, watched them progress over the years, and built strong relationships with their families. I assisted families by asking how their child learns and how to best connect with their child to ensure a quality experience. I hired, supervised and evaluated the swim instructor staff and assisted in implementing emergency action plans. I scheduled lessons and training and planned team-building events for the staff. I certified/trained lifeguards and new staff members and determined and implemented program changes that enhanced customer experience. I assisted families and their children to ensure a quality experience and problem-solved any issues that arose.
