We are situated in Crawford Bay, a little hamlet on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake. Blacksmithing is an age old craft going back 3500 years. Although the tools of the trade have changed over the years we still follow in the footsteps of the blacksmiths of old, using many of the same techniques. With small, energy efficent propane forges, we heat steel to 2,000F (1,200C) and hammer, bend and twist it into beautiful, functional ironwork for homes across North America and Japan.
