( I could NOT counsel patients or final check prescriptions)- Entering new prescriptions into computer- Counting and labeling prescription vials- Script-pro 200 maintenance - Warehouse ordering and inventory- Receiving phoned in prescriptions from the doctor's office, transcribing them, and entering into computer-Reconstitution-Compounding simple creams and ointments (can use a Class A balance)- high level of quality care and customer service-Delivery of medications and OTC items to Woodhaven - an assisted living community-Returning medications back to vendor or warehouse-Pulling recalled products from shelf and sending back-Returning used medication bottles back to stock on shelf-Operating a cash register-I took a Pharmacy Technician Course through Rite Aid to be "Rite Aid Certified"-Contacting doctors to verify: DEA numbers, medication name/strength, dosage, and patient information-HIPAA expert- Third Party Billing: -Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance - Contacting insurance companies to resolve rejection errors Show less

  My responsibilities included:-New member sign-up-Member retention-Managing a member database containing over 150 businesses.-Planning and executing monthly networking breakfast and networking at night events.-Bringing ideas for growth and retention to the Board of Directors.-Event planning: - Annual Christmas Dinner - Sights, Sounds, and Tastes street festival - Texas Holdem' tournaments-Volunteering at local community events: - Dickens Fest - Ladies Night Out-In 2009, with the help of the chamber ambassadors, I organized a backpack donation event and we were able to provide 20 filled backpacks to local children in need plus extra school supplies.-Working with local businesses to help increase exposure and sales.-Keeping up to date on Small Business Administration policies and seminars to better serve our local community.-The Holly Chamber is a non-profit organization which allowed me to also gain experience with researching funding, grant writing, and obtaining gambling and liquor licenses.-Working with the Holly DDA and Main Street program to ensure fluidity between the separate organizations.-Working closely with the Holly Village office as a measure to bring in and keep new businesses.
