    • Council of Landscape Architecture Registration Boards (CLARB)

      Sept 2004 - Sept 2016
      Board of Directors (President 2014-2015)

      • I participated in a yearly strategic planning exercise that set the organizational direction for the international organization that establishes the standards for education, experience and examination that is required for the professional licensure of landscape architects. • The Board identified a yearly scope of work that sets goals to achieve organizational strategic objectives. • The Board reviewed the 3-million-dollar budget to ensure that the necessary financial and human resources are in place to accomplish goals. • I served as an international leader and ambassador for the organization with the specific charge to be a well-informed, engaged, and collaborative contributor to the dialogue and decision-making process. • I established and maintained key external relationships and promoted an understanding of the roles and opportunities for collaboration in the United States; the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico; and the Canadian provinces as well as with global landscape architecture partners. As an organization, CLARB is dedicated to ensuring that all individuals who affect the natural and built environment through the practice of landscape architecture are sufficiently qualified to do so. CLARB and its members work together to establish standards for education, experience and examination required for the professional licensure of landscape architects. CLARB’s members include the licensure boards that regulate the profession of landscape architecture in the United States; the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico; and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta.
