  I’ve coached children from 4 years up to 12 years old as leading and assistant coach. As a lead coach, it is important to have good time management, leadership, and be able to resolve problems in a swift and diplomatic manner. Interacting with parents and gymnasts allowed me to develop my people skills from a young age, which has improved my confidence in communication going forwards.

  6 Week Summer Placement

  This 6-week paid summer placement at Renishaw plc, took place just after the completion of my GCSEs. I worked within the CMM department, where I was taught how to use CAD. Which enabled me to develop a test rig for one of their new probes. In order to achieve this, I had to utilise the skills of the team around me to complete the project.

  Industrial Placement Student

  During my year in industry I worked within the Assembly Development Group, where I was responsible for the development and running of assembly cells. I learnt to work independently, having to make decisions and solve problems regularly. Managing my own project allowed me to improve my organisation skills and work with divisions across the company.

  7 Week Summer Placement

  Working within the manufacturing devision I got the opportunity to work on a multitude of projects ranging from leading a gauge R&R study on a new test rig to designing a tooling case. The demands of production meant the work was fast paced and high pressure, forcing me to improve my time management and ability to prioritise tasks.

  1 Week Work Experience

  This week long voluntary placement gave me the opportunity to better understand the role of a financial advisor working in the personal finance industry. During my week I shadowed members of staff at multiple levels of the business from admin and paraplanners up to financial advisors. This allowed me to work closely with a diverse range of staff; understanding their role and how they help provide the best service to their clients. My experience, although brief, has made me excited about a potential future career as a financial advisor. Show less
