  The concept of Subciety cultural and networking-platform is being in development since the summer of 2003. Since then, by receiving it's first funding in 2013 it gradually grew out to a new way of using the internet we find necessary. The main feature consists of a social tool that enables people to connect in 'real life'​ instead of just in their virtual 'social' contacts. The system rewards real life interaction in order to stimulate this and aims to create an easy overview of cultural life in a city with Groningen as it's current testing-ground.Groningen municipality funded the first connection-tool between all dance & pop-organisations in august 2013 and in since then on various steps were made in implementing the concept in the official digital cultural overview of activities and location for foreign students and expats in Groningen.Since 2015 various lectures on the platform were given on occasions like:* Hanze University for Applied Sciences 2015* Holland Webweek 2016* The European Forum on Music in Wroclaw (as member of the European Music Council) 2016 * Eurosonic Noorderslag 2017The next step which currently (summer 2017) is being taken is to cover the total cultural segment of the city of Groningen in an interactive site to connect venues, stakeholders, artists and audience in order to bring them closer to each other.   SNME has provided non-profit network and support for Dutch artists all over the world since 2009.Artists in various musical genre ranging from metal to techno have been granted funding to kickstart their careers and in the end develop their careers without the need of being funded.Artists like Epica, Cesqeaux, Dither, God Dethroned, Antillectual and many were aided financially and especially China has been one of the focus countries for SNME.
