As Associate Editor, conducted scholarly review and copy-editing of articles chosen for publication by The Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law (OSJCL), working within a team of Associate Editors under one Managing Editor. OSJCL is a top-ranked, peer-evaluated law journal publishing scholars and practitioners of the criminal law. The journal is unique for being cooperatively managed by faculty and students.

  As a full-time intern admitted to the limited practice of law, provided zealous representation of indigent Alaskans accused of a crime in Kotzebue, Alaska and surrounding Alaska Native villages. Managing my own caseload of 20-40 cases, appeared on behalf of misdemeanor and felony clients at arraignments, Bail Review Hearings, Changes of Plea, and other hearings four to five days per week. Routinely took client calls and interviewed clients in custody. Conducted motion practice, legal research and writing, and plea negotiations with the Kotzebue District Attorney’s Office.
