  Meeting (ASEM11) on 7th to the 15th ofJuly 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Under the theme “20 Years of ASEM: Partnership for the Future through Connectivity” more than 130 student delegates fromall 51 ASEM Partner countries attended the meeting. Model ASEM is a political simulation of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit where participants are invited to role-play their respective ASEM Partners’ positions and to develop through negotiations a consensus-based Chair’sStatement.One of 130 delegates selected from 3900 applicants for the fully-funded opportunity to participate at the Model ASEM 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.The project consists of a three week online preparation phase and a 4-day conference in Ulaanbaatar filled with plenary sessions, working groups, practical training and visits to Diplomatic Missions of ASEM countries located in Ulaanbaatar.   Thanks to JA Malta's leadership and their belief in my potential, I advanced into a more strategic role, fostering my growth and creating space for my team to expand. This enabled us to deliver greater opportunities for youth and strengthen our entrepreneurial programs.Together with the team, I led the coordination of key educational programs, including the Company Programme, Start-Up Programme, and Summer School collaborations. I managed operations, oversaw the continuance of the digital transformation via Salesforce systems as our back-end, and worked closely with the CEO to align on strategic vision and drive long-term growth.This role required continuous collaboration with our team, including colleagues in IT, program delivery, interns, and alumni. Together, we successfully implemented and refined programs that met both organizational goals and the needs of youth.A key achievement was contributing to the strategic brand overhaul initiated by the CEO. My role was to ensure that the rebrand was integrated into all educational materials, reinforcing JA Malta’s alignment with JA Worldwide. This strengthened our international presence and positioned us within a global network that connects youth to transformative opportunities. Additionally, I led the Erasmus+ exchange program in partnership with schools in Sweden and Norway, offering 50 students the chance to engage with peers, explore universities, and experience new cultures.Other responsibilities included overseeing marketing, managing intern hiring and training, driving program innovation, and building school partnerships to further empower youth and unlock entrepreneurial potential. Show less I joined JA Malta in 2018 as Programme Coordinator, evolving into a strategic role alongside CEO Fiona Captur. Together, we partnered with Deloitte Malta to drive a digital transformation, creating an automated, secure platform to streamline operations and enhance the experience for all stakeholders.While managing our core 9-month programs—the Company Programme (15-18 year-olds) and the StartUp Programme (university students)—we also secured MQF Level 3 accreditation for the Company Programme, increasing its value for students. We expanded our team by hiring specialized talent to support growing operations and innovations. I also played a key role in the successful implementation of the FinCap project, a financial education initiative sponsored by HSBC and led by JA Worldwide. These activities ranged from parties and hikes to cultural visits, boat tours, day trips, and more, providing students with opportunities to practice their English, explore the country, and connect with other international students.Together with a team member, we coordinated the execution of each activity, handling everything from student pickup and logistics to liaising with suppliers and ensuring the safety and engagement of all participants. Creating a fun, welcoming environment was a top priority, ensuring that students felt comfortable, connected, and fully immersed in their cultural experience. As a local, I also shared insider tips and cultural insights, enriching the experience for students and helping them make the most of their time both in their studies and outside the classroom.   As Events and Project Manager at JA Europe, I lead the execution of diverse, high-impact events across Europe, ensuring memorable experiences for youth, sponsors, and stakeholders. I manage a range of events, from large-scale in-person festivals to fully online programs, excelling in strategic planning, problem-solving, and adapting to challenges in a fast-paced environment.A key achievement is overseeing the logistics for Gen-E (Europe’s largest entrepreneurship festival) https://gen-e.eu/. I successfully collaborated on the 2023 event in Istanbul, the 2024 event in Catania, and am preparing for 2025 in Athens. This multi-phase event begins virtually, engaging thousands of youth entrepreneurs across Europe, culminating in a vibrant in-person experience. I also manage major events such as the JA Leadership Summit (Malta 2023, Montenegro 2025), Annual General Assembly (London, Brussels), JA Europe Board Meetings (Murcia, Brussels), and consortium meetings for European-funded projects (Brussels, Sofia).Additionally, I’ve supported online Hackathons, competitive programs for youth across multiple countries, in partnership with organizations like EIT Food, Delta, and FedEx. These events foster collaboration and problem-solving, providing a platform for participants to showcase their entrepreneurial skills.I led the implementation of CVENT event management software, streamlining registrations, improving operational efficiency, and providing attendees with a mobile app to enhance their experience.Collaboration is essential to my approach. I work closely with youth coordinators, host countries, and internal teams to ensure every event aligns with JA Europe’s goals and meets stakeholder needs.
