  I am responsible for the day to day running of a department, within a busy company specialising in providing Asbestos surveying, Air testing, Training, Analysis of material for content, EPC's, and Stock condition surveys.The Air Testing Department provides all aspects of consultancy and services ranging from basic reassurance/background monitoring right through to full 4 stage clearance procedures and project management encompassing entire projects.I also present courses related to asbestos within the BOHS syllabus as well as 'Asbestos Awareness' which includes the provision of training for contractors wishing to learn tasks deemed appropriate by HSE with the regard to Minor Asbestos removal.   I have taken the position of operations Director at ASI with a view to help the growth of the already busy company.The company holds UKAS accreditation for asbestos surveys, asbestos air sampling and 4 stage clearances as well as laboratory sample analysis. Outside of this accreditation we also produce fire risk and Legionella assessments.Asbestos awareness and non licensed asbestos removal training, in line with HSE guidelines, is something we are keen to build on and our approval, having met the IATP criteria, shows we are able to provide an excellent level of training on this subject. We firmly believe that by educating people, and furthering their understanding of the industry, we can help nullify some of the myths surrounding the topic and help people manage their obligations, in line with legislation.
