      Sept 2004 - now
      Managing Editor, Welding Journal

My weekdays stay busy with working on the Welding Journal, which is the monthly magazine of the American Welding Society. Over the years, I've been promoted from assistant editor to associate editor, then features editor to managing editor. I develop original story ideas and follow through with making them become a reality; handle on-site reporting and taking photos at various events, including conferences, open houses, and trade shows; conduct interviews; coordinate getting contributed feature articles to be submitted to our publication; gather images for cover considerations; edit; proofread; and much more. In addition, I contribute to Inspection Trends, SPRAYTIME, and Welding Digest. Show less
