  State Supervisors for SMC play a vital role in reducing the burden of malaria, especially in regions where the disease is seasonal. My duties involve careful planning, coordination, Community Engagement: work with Community Leaders and the LGA team to raise awareness about the SMC program, mobilize the target population, and address any concerns or misconceptions. Training: Leading in training healthcare workers and CDDs responsible for administering anti-malarial drugs (SPAQs), Training includes proper drug administration, record-keeping, and monitoring for adverse effects. Problem Solving: By identifying and addressing any challenges or bottlenecks in the SMC program's implementation, making necessary adjustments and seeking solutions to improve the program's effectiveness. In-Process Monitoring During Mass Drug Administration: Oversees the mass drug distribution of anti-malarial drugs to the eligible target population (3-59 months children). This involves ensuring that an adequate supply of drugs is available and that distribution is carried out smoothly and efficiently. Reporting and Documentation: prepare regular reports on the progress of the SMC program, including data on drug distribution, coverage, and any challenges encountered during the MDAs on a daily basis during the evening debriefing, end of cycle, end of round and submit to the higher authorities at SMEP. Coordination: Worked closely with various stakeholders, including the NMEP, National Monitors, State Executive Monitors, LGA Team, Health Facility Workers, Health Facility Supervisors, Community Drug Distributors, Town Announcers, Lead Mothers, and Community Leaders, Malaria Consortium Field and State Staffs, Securities and Media to coordinate the implementation of SMC by ensuring that all parties are working together effectively. Utilizing statistical and analytical tools to interpret data and generate meaningful insights, stay updated on the latest healthcare management, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies developments. Assess the long-term impact of healthcare interventions on patient health, healthcare outcomes, and community well-being. Training healthcare providers, including Medical Doctors, Nurses and others in the identification, treatment and prevention of Obstetric Fistulas. Establishing and managing a referral system that ensures Fistula patients are promptly referred to the appropriate facilities for diagnosis and treatment. Advocating for policies and resources to support Obstetric Fistula prevention and treatment programs. Ensure that affected women have access to supportive services, including counseling, rehabilitation, and social reintegration programs. Collaborating with NGOs, international organizations, and other stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise in addressing Obstetric Fistulas. Regularly monitor & evaluate the effectiveness of Fistula prevention and treatment programs and make necessary adjustments for improvement. Supporting and participating in research initiatives related to Obstetric Fistulas.
