Feb 2015 - Aug 2021At the onset of the pandemic, I was appointed a dual role in establishing the resort group's safety brand & marketing activations both internally & externally as the company prepared for its new normal operations. I worked hand-in-hand with the management committee, safety & hygiene manager, and key members of the Sales, Reservations, & Marketing departments in launching the Be G.R.E.E.N, Be CLEAN (BGBC) enhanced care program. Shortly after the introduction of BGBC, we pioneered the first ever & longest running travel bubble in the country which has now been institutionalized across all resort destinations in the Philippines with the endorsement of the Department of Tourism. Together with the senior sales manager & the rest of the team, we promoted the product as "Travel Bubble for a Cause" which in the beginning started out as a private sale effort to raise Php 1M total proceeds, benefiting local employees and their families affected by the resort closures. After successful runs and positive reviews from guests, the local government, and the general public, the travel bubble expanded from just one property to 6 out of 7 resorts re-opened which reinvigorated the travel market & brought back livelihoods in the community. Travel Bubble for a Cause won the Bronze Stevie Awards in the Most Valuable COVID-19 Corporate Response category of the prestigious 2021 International Business Awards. During this time, I was also head of Sales for the Lio Estate Resorts group. I managed a team of 3 sales account handlers who directly reported to me, and supervised the reservations and marketing team leads as we established & carried out the travel bubble, local resident, and long-stay packages of the boutique properties. These programs were also complemented by the launch of Lio Estate Resorts' e-commerce deals site which aim to digitize sales channels for a more simplified booking process. Show less As a Sales Executive, I was responsible for corporate & travel trade room sales which involve account management & acquisition, identifying new & emerging markets and creating business opportunities to achieve set individual & departmental goals. This entailed daily sales calls/visits, participating in various local & international trade events, releasing of wholesale or corporate rate agreements, & implementing preferential programs to maximize the revenue potentials of the accounts. I primarily worked with B2B & B2C clients from the UK, US, EMEA & South Americas along with their local DMCs which were high-profile & key account markets for the resorts group. Accounts I handled also include medical organizations, PR & events companies, telecommunications, government agencies, banking & finance etc. In addition, I also escorted clients at the resorts on familiarization tours, ocular inspections, and events to handle banquet servicing requirements & coordinate additional arrangements to operations as needed. Other sales activities involved administrative work to support the business development side of the role (coordination meetings, contracts & proposals, event orders & info sheets, departmental reports & action plans, revenue analysis, forecasting etc.), industry & market research, and training of staff.Aside from business development, I was also the designated Island Weddings events officer catering elopements, and/or group clients for full planning and coordination in terms of accommodation & venue arrangements, banquet requirements, and itinerary assistance as well as on-site supervision when needed. My experience on weddings range from Christian, Catholic, civil union, and commitment ceremonies.
