Show less Client – Government of Yucatan, Mexico• Objective - Propose a technology platform to forecast deforestation and contribute to create public policies in Yucatan. • The project consists of a four-week in-country assignment to understand the various aspects that influence deforestation and the associated climate change to come up with recommendations and a way forward • We worked with Secretary of Urban development (Yucatan Government - SEDUMA) to understand the existing processes and propose a solution which will help them to control deforestation and use their resources in a productive manner • The 3 parameters for Smarter Deforestation Solution proposed are – Process Definition, Technology Definition and Information Definition • Suggested to have standard Operating process, Performance Scorecard, Process/Program Management, Contract Management, Financial Management, Increasing SEDUMA’s level of Information analytics and Technological architecture.
