  As a BDM, my role was primarily to add new revenue streams to the business. The objective was to move into managed services which brought in consistent recurring revenues. To achieve this, I had brought in partners like Alcatel-Lucent and introduced the concept of Smart Buildings by providing complete VoIP and IT Infrastructure services as a utility to the tenants of the buildings. My role apart from bringing in business was to setup the necessary in-house processes as well. I had to ensure that all aspects of product development, marketing, implementation, support and billing processes were set as per the ISO 9001:2000 company policies.Prior to the above, I had worked on building the business of providing Internet and Value added services at Camp Arafjan for the US Army. The objective was to provide pre-paid and post-paid Internet services in the camp. The Internet services were provided via an Aruba WiFi network that spanned through the entire campus. There was also the need to set up retail points of sale at different locations in the camp. The role involved liaising and coordinating with the US Army officials for project management; our network department for service provisioning and support; Sales & marketing department for service awareness; and of course the accounts department for collection processes.I was also responsible for setting up and enhancing our international carrier relations. I had to propose solutions that would fit the customer's budget and hence gained extensive experience in designing cost-effective solutions.
