  Masakhane is a youth-driven organization providing community-based sexuality education in and around Newark, NJ. Masakhane’s anti-racist, pro-queer & pro-trans approach to sex-positive programming seeks to promote sexual liberation, including the right to pleasure, for marginalized communities.I was trained on sexuality education, creating online educational videos and materials, and assisting in curriculum development. As a sexuality educator, I advocate for the rights of people marginalzed for their orientations, gender alignments and expressions through workshops. I facilitated workshops discussing a variety of sexuality topics like first time sex, attraction & orientation, and body justice and fat liberation. -Created workshop curriculum that promote body acceptance -Addressed other interns concerns and questions to help deflate myths about disabled people-Created a recorded workshop that taught young people about how to have a healthy sexual relationships and any sexual problems Show less
