University of birmingham swimming club
Jun 2022 - nowMy role includes leading a team of 16 committee members to manage a club with over 200+ student members. Tasks also involved managing the clubs finances and planning a budget of over £65,000, organising training sessions and running internal club competitions. I also collected feedback and data and established ways to improve student experience within the club. I am also in charge of promoting and marketing the club as well as ensuring it stays competitive in line with the university's aim of BUCS Top 5. I am also helping to promote the clubs wider engagement with the community by creating partnerships with a local masters swimming club as well as planning & running a meet with a local swimming club. Tasks I have done include: planning and organising transport, accommodation and entries to all open meets as well as the 3 British Universities Championships meets the swimming team compete in ensuring this all fits in line with the club's annual budget. Along with that, I have planned and organised an overseas training camp, and run the University's squad trials which involved over 200 people.
