  The project was based in Dr Adam Dobson's lab and aimed to understand the role of the microbiome-gut-brain axis in healthy ageing. This is achieved by working on a Drosophila model and rearing flies with a specific gut microbiota to understand its effects on hormone signalling and ultimately fly lifespan.
