Also conducted research surrounding the organization's economic success in the Santiago community. As a part of my internship responsibilities, I organized weekly community meetings and scheduled times for the artisans to sell their products at regional markets.

  Monitored various properties in the greater Worcester region, acquired through the land trust. Assisted in the maintenance and management of Donker Farm, working to incorporate small-scale agriculture into the urban Worcester environment.

  Conducted research for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship department of Clark University. Held office hours for undergraduate students in the Entrepreneurship program, providing assistance for the development of student-led ventures.

  Work to improve water quality in the French Broad River Watershed through education projects, volunteer coordination, and stewardship of wetland, riparian, and steep slope areas. Assist in community outreach, grant writing, project management, and monitoring of RiverLink's easement properties.

  Land Protection Specialist

  Work with landowners to develop conservation easements, baseline documentation, and stewardship priorities. Implement landscape scale conservation priorities and identify conservation projects that align with Midcoast Conservancy's goals. This position also includes collaboration on fundraising strategies, including grants for land acquisition and stewardship funds.

  • Manages all phases of land protection projects including community outreach and engagement, project identification, development of project structure and strategy, landowner negotiation, supervision of appraisers, surveyors, and other consultants, and ultimate sale and conveyance to a public agency, non-profit partner, or other long term steward.• Develops and conducts community outreach and engagement.• Builds and maintains trust-based relationships with community organizations, non-profit partners, tribal partners, governmental agencies, private property landowners, elected officials, and other key partners.• Works closely with TPL’s Government Relations, Marketing, Philanthropy, Legal, and Finance teams.• With team support, takes a leadership role in securing interim financing and permanent funding for land protection projects through public and private funding sources.
